OrionHealth in Vancouver is looking for a full time Occupational Therapist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Clinical Practice Manager, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing occupational therapy services within the programs, and in conjunction with the other team members, facilitate return to work with clients by coordinating and implementing the functional restoration plan according to individual program goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of clients’ function for work, home care, personal care, leisure, activities of daily living (ADLs), and instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Assessment of clients’ functional capacity through standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.
  • Development of a treatment plan based on assessment findings, and in conjunction with the    interdisciplinary team’s findings.
  • Making contact with employers and other relevant stakeholders to design and implement return to work plans.
  • Assessment of critical job demands through job site visits and/or job demands analyses.
  • Assessment and recommendations for adaptive equipment and aids to facilitate function in the workplace, home, or community environments.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of related experience an asset (experience working with complex physical or mental health files)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in British Columbia
  • Experience within an interdisciplinary clinical team approach
  • WSBC claims experience an asset
  • Experience in active rehabilitation and RTW are definite assets
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle or other reliable transportation.

Position: Certified Hand Therapist

Description: CBI Health Group is seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) who is interested in advancing their career and experience in a well established clinic environment. An opportunity to work across multiple sites may exist.

The successful applicant will be an OT or PT Certified Hand Therapist responsible for providing direct patient care and ensuring quality of care standards. The CHT will work with internal and external stakeholders such as a Return to Work Kinesiologist, WorkSafe BC Case Managers, Surgeons/Specialists, and Employers to ensure a well-designed treatment and return to work plan is delivered for our clients.

CBI Prince George is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team and work within our OR2 program.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the return to work process with clients, employers, physicians and sponsors in a timely basis to ensure smooth return to all areas of function and to establish return to work plans tailored to each client’s needs and abilities
  • Performs a functional screen addressing all areas of self-care, household activity, care giving and productivity (as applicable) on each sponsored patient to determine the need for OT intervention
  •  Develop relationships with external and internal resources to better promote and deliver CBI services
  • Prepare medical, legal and insurance reports in a timely fashion
  • Works alone or with a treatment team that delivers the services required for the individual care plan for the client
Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
