We are seeking OTs with experience in Functional Capacity Evaluation to provide assessments for clients with primarily physical injuries as well as cognitive (MTBI) or related mental health limitations.

This predominantly clinic based position involves conducting 6-8 hour functional evaluations of clients to determine work relevant abilities and limitations. Assessments are funded by a variety of parties representing both plaintiffs and defendants with respect to personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance entitlement and duty to accommodate obligation of employers. Depending on referral objective, workplace based Job Demands Analysis may also be required. This assessment focused position may also be combined with a community based (home health or RTW) rehabilitation caseload or other medical legal services (i.e. COFC) depending on therapist interest and experience.

• Medical legal experience is a strong asset
• Minimum 1 year of experience completing Functional Capacity Evaluations is required
• Experience providing Return to Work Rehabilitation services is an asset
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience working with insurance fee payers (WorkSafeBC, ICBC etc) is an asset
• Current member of COTBC or registration pending
