Presenter: Dr. Rachel Thibeault
Description: This webinar focuses on community development from an occupational perspective. Based on the works of Freire, Chevalier, MacIntyre and others, it highlights how occupational therapists can work with vulnerable communities and help them cultivate empowerment and autonomy. It covers basic principles of community mobilization, community development (from a community based rehabilitation (CBR) angle) and participatory action research, and offers a unique perspective on how to adapt this generic knowledge through an occupational lens. Tools for working with and for communities are suggested and several examples from the field, in developed and developing countries, are presented.

This purchase is for the Oct. 9 2012 Lunch & Learn webinar presentation web link archive. The archive purchase will be in the format of a web-based link that will be emailed to you separately in the following business days.
