Description: Evidence will be presented regarding the consequences of a mild stroke on participation, and the current medical and rehabilitation services this clientele is receiving in Canada to illustrate possible gaps with best practices. We will also share a reflection made by occupational therapists working in stroke at two distinct institutions as to how they can concretely meet the best practices recommendation of ´assessing patients within 24 to 48 hours of admission’ and link these results to the context of mild stroke. Participants will be invited to discuss what the occupational therapist’s role should be with mild stroke.
