Presenters: Paula Buyting & Catherine Schmidt
Description: With over 70,000 people experiencing a heart attach each year, and almost 80% of them surviving, the need for cardiac rehabilitation in Canada is great. Implementing a self-management approach, a team-based outpatient cardiac rehab program was launched in Fredericton, NB. With a focus on resuming valued occupations, respecting activity restrictions, and enabling people to minimize ongoing risk factors, the role of the occupational therapist has evolved to include 1:1 assessments and interventions, group education and a client-centred functional circuit. This session will provide an overview of the valuable role of the occupational therapist within a cardiac rehabilitation team as well as strategies that can be utilized to enable your client's occupations.

This purchase is for the February 19, 2013 Lunch & Learn webinar presentation web link archive. The archive purchase will be in the format of a web-based link that will be emailed to you separately in the following business days.
