The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is currently recruiting for the position of Temporary Professional Development Administrator. The term for this position is for approximately 3 months.

Position Summary:
The Temporary Professional Development Administrator, in consultation with the Professional Development Coordinator, is responsible for providing administrative support to the professional development team.

Required Qualifications:
1) Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills;
2) Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
3) Vision and creativity regarding the implementation and improvement of administration process of professional education products and services;
4) Bilingual (English/French) or willingness to become;
5) Self-learner


Recommended Qualifications:

1. Experience with volunteer intensive service operations;
2. Experience with e- learning platforms.
3. Excellent working knowledge of personal computer software (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and use of the database programs such as campaigner, iMis;


Major Areas of Responsibility:

Continuing Professional Development Services

  • Ensure contracts are established with presenters and other relevant parties related to continuing professional development events, products and services.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and onsite workshop support for workshops presenters or sponsors;
  • Contributes to the delivery of communication and marketing activities for the learning services;
  • Provide training on technology used and orientation to facilitators of webinar programs;
  • Moderate the live webinars and assist with any technical difficulties;
  • Upload learning material on dissemination platforms;
  • Review materials format for the continuing professional development services (e.g., description, PowerPoint presentations, handouts) for spelling, grammar, appropriate language, references and consistency with CAOT quality and ethical standards and in consultation with CAOT staff;
  • Arrange honorariums, reimbursement of expenses and letters of appreciation for workshop presenters, webinar program facilitators and other relevant individuals;
  • Collect and collate feedback from participants, presenters and other relevant individuals.
