Back in Motion Rehab has an exciting position available for an Occupational Therapist in Greater Vancouver. The contractor could be involved in in-clinic or community based assessment and rehabilitation services for clients with musculoskeletal injuries, mental health, neurological or other health conditions with a goal to support clients in returning to work and enhancing function. The position may involve functional capacity evaluations; work simulation; case management; individualized education; goal setting; cognitive assessment; functional assessment; liaison with employers, clients, and referral sources; return to work planning and monitoring; and job site visits/job coaching. The Occupational Therapist may work independently or on a team that could include Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists/Counselors, Physicians, and Kinesiologists.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service; and an interest in active rehabilitation. Back in Motion is looking for an energetic team player registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and committed to the goal of helping clients work. Two years of experience working with clients in a return to work setting is required. The successful candidate must have regular access to a vehicle, as travel across the Lower Mainland is required. Experience in one or more of the following programs or services would be an asset: Community Occupational Therapy, Exposure Therapy/Desensitization, Return to Work Support Services, Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and/or Cost of Future Care planning.
