Back in Motion Rehab has an exciting position available for Occupational Therapists (Full-time, Part-time or Contractor status) with experience with return to work, and functional and cognitive assessment relative to job demands. The OTs will be part of the Return to Work Support Services team. Return to Work Support Services (RTWSS) are for Injured Workers who do not require a structured treatment program but would benefit from return to work support. The goal of this service is to return Injured Workers to their pre-injury work duties. These support services are usually provided by an Occupational Therapist, but they may also be provided by a Physiotherapist or a Kinesiologist experienced in return to work support and job site visits.
Return to Work Support Services may include the following components, which are available as stand-alone services or in any combination:
Job Site Visit (JSV)
Job Demands Analysis (JDA)
Graduated Return to Work (GRTW) Planning
Graduated Return to Work (GRTW) Monitoring
Services are delivered in Coquitlam, Richmond and Surrey.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service; and an interest in active rehabilitation. Related experience in the areas of community occupational therapy, functional capacity evaluations, return to work support services, and case management would be considered assets.
Back in Motion is looking for energetic team players who are registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - British Columbia, and ideally have 2 years of experience with clients with mental health conditions or traumatic injuries. Less than 2 years of experience will be considered for the right candidate. Successful candidates must have regular access to a vehicle, as travel across the Lower Mainland is required.
