Bethesda’s Twin Lakes Clinical Services (TLCS) is hiring a Full Time Occupational Therapist. 

Working to promote Bethesda’s values, vision and mission statement and quality of client care, the Occupational Therapist will work with an inter-disciplinary team in the delivery of an integrated biopsychosocial model of services to provide occupational therapy services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Occupational therapist will identify and assess adults with motor, perceptual and/or sensory impairments where Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASDD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and/or Developmental Disability (DD) is confirmed.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Travel to complete assessments on clients throughout Hamilton, Niagara, Haldimand/Norfolk and Brant communities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments including: review of documentation, observations of the adult, administration of tests, scoring tests, analysis of data, formulation of reports with recommendations and treatment strategies
  • Complete assessments and develop therapy programs around the following areas: sensory, functional, environment (home safety and fall prevention), life skills, range of motion, fine and gross motor, positioning, feeding, adaptive
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams and other programs in providing client centered assessments
  • Maintain client records and manage caseload data
  • Assist and/or complete referrals to community agencies that may assist with treatment of the adult
  • Inform individuals and/or family members of available resources and how they can be accessed
  • Review and learn all new standardized testing materials
  • Complete all required preparation modules and participate in continuing education for COTO to maintain credentials
  • Participate in presentations to the community or Bethesda staff
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Five or more years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with adults who have a Developmental Disability and ASD
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario
  • Training in Sensory processing ie) Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) certification or Ayres Sensory Integration
  • Registration with Assistive Devises Programs as an Individual Authorizer
  • French/English bilingualism is an asset
