A master’s or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from a recognized university or an equivalent
Registered with New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists
Member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
Have strong skills in critical thinking, decision making and analysis
Have excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to work independently
Have strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingualism is an asset.
Be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet client goals.
Dedication to providing the highest quality care in a variety of settings including client’s home and work places.
Experience with the MS Office products, particularly Word
Great interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with different personality types
Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle
Ability to work from a home office with reliable internet set-up
Assessment and implementation of Occupational Therapy interventions in home, community and work based settings.
Provide assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including those with acute, chronic physical and/or mental health conditions
Occupational therapy services, including but not limited to; home and accessibility assessments, cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, wheelchair assessments, mental health interventions/P-Gap programs, return-to-work programs, job site analysis, ergonomic assessments and planning functional treatment programs.
Perform regular reporting and communication.
Assist clients in establishing and meeting meaningful goals within the home, work and community setting.
Adhere to the code of ethics of the profession, in maintaining the standards of practice for the profession as defined by the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists.
