Lifemark Physiotherapy Keefer Place has been providing excellent physiotherapy and rehabilitation care to the Vancouver community since 1979. Our professional staff of over 50 clinicians includes physicians, a psychiatrist, psychologists, registered massage therapists (RMTs), clinical counsellors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, pharmacological consultants, a pharmacist, neuropsychologists, a psychometrist, kinesiologists, vestibular therapists and a speech language pathologist. Our clinic also treats complex orthopedic injuries and chronic and persistent pain. We provide physiotherapy, acupuncture, concussion care, naturopathy, vestibular (dizziness/balance and vertigo) therapy, exercise therapy, occupational therapy, clinical counselling and holistic nutrition services.

This role is specifically intended for an experienced practitioner (2 + years preferred) who is familiar and comfortable working in the following areas: auto insurance, long term disability, return to work planning, and WCB with a keen interest in both mental and physical health.

Responsibilities include:
  • In clinic interdisciplinary assessments and treatment planning of clients with the aforementioned and other conditions
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • Job demands analyses, job coaching and return to work planning
  • Pre-employment assessments
  • Ergonomic assessments and education to clients on ergonomic principles insurer’s examinations
  • Community based assessments to address client safety, attendant care other and ADLs
  • Educational sessions/presentations
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in case conferences and case management
  • Regular report writing, charting and communication in a timely manner
  • Network with all stakeholders (both internal and external) to promote OT programs

Qualifications:
  • Registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist is preferred
  • Community/related experience in auto sector legislation is preferred
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working both independently and as part of the team
  • Possess superior time management and organizational skills
  • Be a self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possess critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
