Intuitive Independence Rehabilitation Services has an opening for a community based Registered Occupational Therapist to join our growing team of Rehabilitation specialists.We currently have a full time case load that we are hoping to transition to an OT due to a therapist moving. Our Clinic is located in the Fraser Valley, a rapidly growing area offering easy access to many recreational opportunities including hiking, mountain biking, cross country running trails, skiing and more; however, this caseload is based out of Vancouver

As an Occupational Therapist with our company, you will work in the community with a variety of client diagnoses/disorders, including neurological, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and brain injury. You will be responsible for the assessment and the provision of appropriate occupational therapy treatment and case management. You will also be the interface between staff, physicians, employers, referral sources and funders to ensure all parties remain fully informed of patient’s progress from intake to discharge. You will work both independently and collaboratively with our team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Kinesiologists and Home Support workers. All service provision is based on the therapist’s clinical knowledge, training and expertise and will be provided in a timely fashion in accordance with the guidelines and quality standards established by Intuitive Independence Rehabilitation Services.  

 

Your Qualifications will Include: 

  • A Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelors / Masters)
  • Registered with CAOT / CAOT-BC and COTBC
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Experience in Case Management, Insurance Claims, Client Assessment and Treatment
  • PGAP and Future Cost of Care Certifications are an asset
  • Organization and Time Management Skills
  • Strength and Success in Establishing and Maintaining Client Relationships
  • Ability to Work Independently and Collaboratively with Minimum Supervision
  • Demonstrated Confidence and Experience to make Decisions and Provide Opinions
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Report Writing is Essential
  • A Passion for Continuous Learning and Best Practice
