2017 Recipients

Joint Accreditation Committee of the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant Program Education Accreditation Program

The JAC has been in existence since 2011 and since that time this highly committed inter-professional team has diligently fulfilled their initial objective to design and implement an accreditation process for OTA & PTA programs across Canada. This group is recognized for their innovative contributions to the profession at the post-secondary education level, their critical role in the development of the OTA & PTA Education Accreditation Program, and their efforts in promoting and representing the profession of occupational therapy, among many other accomplishments.

Dr. Marie-Josée Drolet

Marie-Josée’s accomplishments and contributions to the profession in the areas of education and publication have led to great developments in her field of expertise, the integration of ethics in the practice of occupational therapy. Her work in creating an original 10-step process to resolve ethical conflicts using a methodical ethical analysis designed to engage practitioners in finding professional and personal clarity helps teams develop a solid foundation for decision-making, allowing them to empower clients and be effective agents of change.
