About CAOT-QC

The launch of the Quebec chapter of CAOT, CAOT-QC, was announced in February 2016 with a letter to members and stakeholders.

CAOT-QC provides our Quebec members with official representation to their provincial government, a new partner in the pursuit of occupational therapy excellence in Quebec, more focus on their provincial needs and concerns, more forums, and more resources.  Our aim is to advance occupational therapy practice in Quebec.

The idea of a provincial chapter was brought to CAOT in February 2015, by a handful of interested and engaged Quebec occupational therapists with a desire to increase the visibility and vibrancy of occupational therapy in their province.

The CAOT-QC chapter will not only strengthen the occupational therapy community in Quebec but will enable more engagement with the broader community of occupational therapists across Canada.

CAOT-QC is part of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and, as such, shares the same Mission, Vision and Values.

Mission:

  • Advance excellence in occupational therapy.

Vision:

  • Occupational therapy is valued and accessible across Quebec.

Values:

  • Integrity
  • Accountability
  • Respect
  • Equity
  • Innovation
  • Transparency
  • Diversity
  • Collaboration
