Date: February 1, 2018

Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm Pacific Time

Location: Webinar

Topic: Pride Mobility Updates

Presenter: Sydney Herring, B.Sc. (Kin), ATP, Area Sales Manager (BC), Pride Mobility Products

Sydney started out in the wheelchair industry in 2005 with Motion Specialties. After learning valuable lessons about high end rehab, he took on a position with Pride Mobility in December of 2008.  Since then Sydney has become the Area Manager for BC, and helps educate and design education sessions for the Western Canada Team.  Sydney has taken a special focus on high end rehab, including how QLogic electronics interact with our clients’ environments as well as the implementation of alternate drive controls.

Description: This year, in an effort to provide an opportunity for continuing professional development for practitioners in BC who may not have access to regular education sessions related to wheeled mobility and seating, the Assistive Technology and Seating Practice Network will be offering an opportunity to each of the major wheelchair manufacturers for an "update" session. These updates will occur at every second meeting, rotating through the manufacturers and will include a brief (20 minute) presentation from the manufacturer, followed by a question and answer session. These sessions do not constitute an endorsement of the manufacturer’s products by CAOT-BC, and are simply an opportunity to provide information to interested practitioners.

For our second update, Sydney Herring, the BC Area Manager for Pride Mobility, will be joining us for a lunch time review of what's new at Pride Mobility. Sydney's session will focus on an introduction to their iLevel technology, including how it works, and the variety of social and cognitive effects it can facilitate. He will also introduce and discuss 4Front, Pride Mobility's new font wheel drive, with a special focus on the new automotive grade suspension.
