Managing Executive Dysfunction to Improve the Participation of People with Stroke

Executive function is frequently impaired (executive dysfunction) in people with stroke and the evidence of effectiveness of existing interventions remains inconclusive. As executive function consists of a number of related processes, people with executive dysfunction can present in a variety of ways depending on which processes are affected and existing interventions may not account for these individual differences. This webinar will review current models of executive function and provide an account of the development of the executive function task application model. A method of profiling people’s executive function to improve occupational performance using the model will be presented.

2.Be able to build an individual’s executive function profile to inform the selection of interventions to optimise occupational performance.
