The development of visual functional is very important milestone for infants and children. Vision impairment has a profound impact on a child’s development in their occupational performance, including fine motor and gross motor activities. Occupational therapists play a critical role to provide therapeutic services to their young clients with vision loss. In this webinar, we will discuss how visual development and occupational performance can be affected by vision impairment. Basic strategies for occupational therapy interventions with children with functional vision problems will also be reviewed.
