School Based Mental Health Consultant

Contract: Work remotely and in-person with communities in Nunavut.

 

Continuum North is looking for regulated/licensed professionals (child psychologist, clinical counsellor, clinical social worker, occupational therapist, or mental health nurse) to join our school based mental health team. As a School Based Mental Health Consultant, you will engage children, schools, and families within an interdisciplinary model while providing onsite and virtual services to schools and students. This position offers a hybrid of travel-based in person service and remote/virtual services.

 

Continuum North is located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and is the traditional territory of the Yellowknives Dene and North Slave Métis. Services are provided by our team across the northern region on Dene, Inuvialuit, Inuit and Gwich’in lands.

 

The nature of the role allows you the flexibility of working anywhere within Canada. Travel is funded from most major Canadian cities.

Requirements of Position:

Qualifications:

  • Registered with a provincial college in Canada

Contract

  • The position is an employee (versus subcontractor) position. Continuum North takes pride in offering competitive compensation. Both direct and indirect (non-billable) time is compensated, including:
    • Team collaboration and discussions
    • Collaborative report writing
    • Professional development and supervision

Location:

  • This is a hybrid position featuring a combination of Northern travel and virtual services (from your home location, our co-workers are located throughout Canada).
