Acute care occupational therapy: Utilizing metrics to prioritize patient care, guide treatment and provide discharge recommendations

Register by Monday, January 6, 2020

Presenters: Dominic Echeverria, Kristen French and, Chad Sanders

Due to the typical high occupational therapy needs and insufficient staffing in acute care hospitals, metrics can be utilized in prioritizing patient treatment as well as identify appropriate discharge disposition. Metrics can help identify the population in most need of services as well as aide in positive patient outcomes.

This webinar will look at several different metrics used in acute care. The benefits of metrics to address treatment planning, prioritization, and discharge planning will also be discussed.

After taking part in this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Have a better understanding of the multiple uses of metrics in acute care.
  2. Be able to identify two metrics to use for safe discharge planning and/or prioritizing patient care.
