Description: Occupational therapy is a holistic profession that is well versed in psycho-social practice. Trauma-informed practice is a compassionate framework that provides guiding principles for all aspects of connection with the people we serve. This web-conversation will provide an understanding of trauma-informed principles, recognizing the impact of trauma upon self-regulation, behavior, neurology and healing. Aspects of self-care and self-compassion will also be explored as key components in becoming our best selves as OTs.
