Dryden Regional Health Centre is looking for a full time permanent Occupational Therapist to cover our 41 bed inpatient unit. You will also be part of a robust Rehabilitation department consisting of 5.4 physiotherapist, 3.6 occupational therapists, 2.4 rehab assistants and 2 kinesiologists that provide inpatient, outpatients, homecare and Family Health Team services. You will have the opportunity to prescribe mobility devices, wheelchair prescription, home safety assessments, bathroom safety assessments, bathroom equipment recommendations, falls prevention teaching, kitchen assessments and cognitive assessments. ADP certification is an asset but we are willing to help you obtain authorization if needed. Salary Range: $90,000 – $103,000 per year. New Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registration, or eligibility for Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
Preference given to applicants who are Registered Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizers in the Ambulation Aids, Wheelchair and Positioning Devices/Seating categories
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge in problem solving and troubleshooting
Ability to communicate clearly, teach, problem solve and organize
Flexibility and willingness to work as part of team
Effective organizational and written skills
Proficient computer skills
Able to work and manage a case load independently and with other multi-disciplinary team members
