The CAOT Lexicon is an important resource to support quality and consistency for occupational therapists who wish and who need to communicate in both of Canada’s official languages.

Over 500 terms specific to occupational therapy practice have been selected, translated, and reviewed by national CAOT members, professional translators and CAOT staff. Thank you to our members who contributed their time and expertise to this project.

We hope you find our CAOT Lexicon helpful for your practice communications. It is a living document that can be enhanced over time. To suggest the addition or removal of terms for the lexicon, or for any questions, please send an email to jseguin@caot.ca.
