COTF Lunch with Scholar: Katie Churchill MSc. OT, OT Reg (Ont)

Thursday: 11:40-12:50   COTF logo

Background: Across Canada, the occupational therapy workforce is in a state of crisis. In Canada, over 20 percent of the population is impacted by a disability that may affect some level of independence, participation and overall quality of life.1 As the population ages, there is a rising demand on the health and social systems driving a greater need for occupational therapists to support the increasing cohort of individuals living with chronic illness, episodic disability, mental health concerns and new emerging conditions such as Long COVID.

The objectives of the session are:

•    To provide an overview of the issues impacting the occupational therapy workforce in Canada.
•    To highlight the occupational therapy results of a recent rehab provider experience survey.
•    To facilitate a discussion on where we are now and where we need to go using the best available evidence.

Join us for a plated lunch in room 612, level 4.

Ticketed event:  $35 for attendees/ $20 for entry-level students
