Position: Occupational Therapist City, Province: Victoria , BC TERM: Full time (contract)
CBI Discovery in downtown Victoria is currently seeking a positive, self-motivated, and results-oriented Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in our Pain and Medication Management Program. If you’re eager to learn, organized, and able to work both in a team and independently, this position may be for you!
This is a maternity leave coverage position. Further employment options within the clinic or company are likely after the coverage period has been completed.
Hold a current valid license to practice in BC (or eligible for registration)
Eligible for membership with Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
2 years of experience in disability management and treating individuals with chronic pain is preferred. Those with less experience are still encouraged to apply and can be provided with a formal mentorship plan.
Strong knowledge of pain neurophysiology and experience in providing pain science education to clients
Performing job site visits, job demands analysis, and developing and monitoring gradual return to work plans is considered an asset
Candidates must demonstrate organizational strengths, empathy, and the ability to relate and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
